Box 9
After reading and rereading Mama Day i found it very confusing to read the first time. After rereading it a second time i found it way easier to read. Its written in the voice of what seems to be an illiterate southern person. The sentences aren't coherent and i had to read each sentence very carefully and possibly twice to fully understand it. It was hard to pick up on the story the first time i read through it. The narrator seems like a very interesting person because he knows alot about the culture and the things that are going on. It leads me to believe that the narrator was a really good observer or researcher or that the narrator was in fact part of the culture itself.
